Fractal Bookmark Comes Out of Hiding!

I am diligently working on Sarah Braizear's satin stitching, but I do need to switch it up a bit as I can only do this satin stitching for just so long in one day. It is intense with my eyes having to really focus to get it (somewhat) right.

That being said, I pulled out Fractal Bookmark 705 by Cross Stitch Collectibles  yesterday. I haven't worked on it since the end of March, in fact.  It is fun working on this beauty again, and the colors really fascinate me as the design develops.

My Latest WIPs

It has been a fairly productive stitching month. Here are some updates of most of the things I have stitched upon lately. 

I have been working on Sarah Braizear 1829. Wow, she is a big one. I started this piece almost two years ago.  I hope to finish it this year, but who knows?

I have also been plugging away on Fractal Bookmark 705. I started this one on January 1 and am stitching it on 28 count over one.  I love how this looks, but it is slow going as there is a lot of confetti stitching.

I started a Summer Tea Towel from a kit I purchased at French General back in 2018.  I love how this is looking, and I will finish it sometime soon.  Lots of lazy daisies and french knots...no other stitches are required.  This is my first time using Cosmo Embroidery Thread.  I may need to order more thread before this one is done!

Fractal Bookmark- Progressing Along

I have so been enjoying this fantastic piece from Cross Stitch Collectibles. Sure, there's lots of confetti but that pays out in the amazing color combinations in the design. 

I've worked on it almost every day since the first.  This past weekend was filled with great family times at our home, so during those days the piece was set aside. This one demands more concentration than that situation would allow. 

Here is progress as of today.

The colors in the top right corner reminded me of butterscotch as I was stitching.  I really don't eat much sugar anymore, and since that dietary change I have noticed that certain colors and random items I see remind me more of sweets than before when I ate lots of treats.  Isn't that funny?
