I have stitched a bit, so I wanted to share that progress today. I presently only have three WIPs, and truly I have only worked on Quaker Diamonds for quite some time now. I just don't feel like working on anything else.
In June this is more or less what the project looked like:
I have finished the interior of the large section under the R S, although my recent photos don't quite show that progress in much detail. Here are the latest progress pictures:
To the right of the M in the photo above is a bit of the large diamond that's under the R S section.
I took this photo after my last bit of stitching:
Slowly, slowly, stitch by stitch....it is getting completed. I stitched some in hand as well as using my Q-snaps and lap stand for other parts. Up until a few years ago I exclusively stitched in hand, and I rather enjoyed returning to that again.
I hope your day is lovely, and thanks for stopping by today!
Do you know, I am ashamed to say this...that I have the top left portion (just a small part) of this stitched and it is languishing in my WIP basket (and has for years....) It is gorgeous and you have done A WONDERFUL job pulling it out and working on it again! I need to get mine done because I've seen this done (Karen Kluba lives in Indianapolis metro area) so my LNS frequently has her models on display...so I saw it with my two own eyes...its stunning! I'm pulling mine out again as soon as I get the chance! Thank you for the inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words! You are a very inspirational stitcher, so I really can relish in your compliment. Do pull it out, I will await some progress pics on it! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura.
DeleteThanks, Laura.
DeleteThis is such a wonderful piece and you made some nice progress on it. I love the motives and the colours, just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI have never stitched with a frame or Q-snaps, for me it's just more comfortable to stitch in hand.
Thanks, Brigitte. I truly only used to stitch in hand, and when I did it again with this piece I enjoyed it so much. Maybe I'll start doing it all the time!
DeleteHow pretty! I love the colours.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elaine. I love them too.
